Central Penn Pet Digest is a team of animal lovers, involved in many aspects of the local pet industry. We are dedicated to bringing pet owners and pet businesses together so both benefit.

Katie Errigo, CEO
Katie has had a love for all types of animals since she was a young girl. At the age of 13 she got her first dog, a Shetland Sheepdog named Harry, and started agility. She was instantly hooked and her life has never been the same. She and Harry reached the highest level of American Kennel Club Agility. Harry has since passed away, but Katie has two other Shelties, Hummer and Booker, that are training and beginning to compete. Katie has extensive experience working in the animal industry. She managed a puppy boutique and grooming shop, and has worked at a boarding facility and daycare. Katie will bring her extensive experience, both with dogs and with her bachelor’s degree in business from Millersville University, as well as her passion for dogs to her position of CEO.

Chris Metanchuk, COO
Chris grew up having pets in his house his entire life, including dogs, cats, and birds. Recently he acquired a Border Collie, Lexi, that is training and excelling in agility. Chris is a graduate of Millersville University with a degree in Business, with a concentration in Management. Chris will be handling the operations of the magazine as our Chief Operating Officer, and looks forward to providing all pet owners with the resources they need to raise a happy and healthy pet.

      Meet our special Editors!

Lexi is a two year old Border Collie and is currently competing and excelling in agility. She loves to watch sports on tv, especially baseball!  She is full of energy and always wants to play!

Hummer may be small, but she has a personality as large as the truck she is named after! She is a three year old Shetland Sheepdog that is known for being quite a diva. When she is not lounging on the couch, she is busy training and competing in Agility. She has several titles, many first places, and is now learning the sport of Rally.

Booker was adopted the day after Christmas 2011. He was a rescue, with sad beginnings. He adapted quickly, finished Obedience Class ten weeks after coming home, and the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen two weeks later. He is now excelling in Agility and is beginning to compete.
